About Michael

Michael Klauke is a Canadian-born engineer and writer whose career in the process industries spanned more than three decades. He has worked in refineries, crushing plants, and industrial sites across North America—leading teams, managing crises, and learning on the fly. He has taken a keen interest in history and specifically family history since the passing of his parents and has found links with significant historical events to his family’s legacy.

He is not a writer, however sheer force has helped him write four books including Klauke Family History, Plant Life, PFO and now the Pembroke.

Michael now lives in the woods of Kentucky with his wife, Wendy, learning to appreciate the quiet after years spent chasing the dream.
