PFO (short for “Please Fuck Off”) follows my unlikely path from a struggling student in Ontario, Canada, to a process safety engineer working in the industrial underbelly of North America. The story moves through refineries, grain elevators, and crushing plants where mistakes can kill, egos collide, and surviving requires grit, humor, and stubborn resolve. Alongside the professional journey, the book weaves in family, fatherhood, marriage, and loss, from my Opa’s three ring binder life story to the death of my son at twenty seven and the search for purpose in career and family.
